Andrea + Kyle = Epic Sugar Cookies!!! —> The Wedding

Finally we had a cool day to shoot a wedding with temps in the low 80′s!!!!  Seriously though we have had some scorchers this summer and a little cooler temps make all the difference when you are trying to be creative.   Andrea and Kyle were awesome and we had fun hanging out with their families and also seeing Kelsey an John who’s wedding we just shot a couple months ago.

I have to say I was impressed by the home made cakes and cookies and food etc. that they had to share with everyone at the wedding.  Before my wedding I don’t think I ever fully appreciated how much time, planning, and teamwork goes into pulling a wedding off.  Andrea and Kyle’s families did an awesome job.
Soooo many cookies!  I figured that after I put the rings on them for the ring shots no one would want them so I would just have to eat them.  Lets just say I did a few rings shots;)!

They Kiss In Front of Goats —-> Katelyn and Nate the E- Shoot

Had some awesome weather and some really great light for Katelyn and Nate’s engagement shoot!  Jackie and I traveled to Dalton, OH for the shoot on our way to Cleveland for another wedding.  Katelyn and Nate were awesome to work with and will always hold a special place in my heart because during the shoot at Nate’s house I got to pet and hang out with his goats.  It is kind of embarrassing but besides my two crazy dogs I probably love goats second!  Jackie almost got me a goat one time from one of her friends!  Yes I like them that much.  I also shot Katelyn and Nate while riding on the front of his 4 wheeler.  Certainly an interesting and fun engagement shoot! I really like it when we can do something different with clients.

Jackie once again gets the best shot of them and the goat.  Go figure!

My favorite courtesy of Jackie!  I like that goat a lot!  No offense Katelyn and Nate….

This fall is going to be busier than this summer!

Elizabeth and Gavin —-> A Rehearsal, A Wedding, and A Brunch

This past weekend Jackie and I had the chance to spend 3 days with two wonderful families telling the story of Elizabeth’s and Gavin’s wedding.  Jackie and I knew this weekend would be really awesome because we had so much fun during Gavin and Elizabeth’s 3 day engagement shoot in NYC a few months ago.  The rehearsal was held at The Country Club in Pepper Pike and was a night of toasts and basically a recounting of everything Gavin has done both naughty and nice in his life.  The wedding took place at Botzum Farmstead in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  I had lived relatively close to it my whole life and never knew it existed,  it was quite a find by Elizabeth and a photographers paradise.   The brunch Sunday was at Elizabeth’s parents house and was a fun time to eat relax and talk about everything that happened during the wedding.

So happy to be a part of everything.  A big thanks to everyone for constantly congratulating me and Jackie on our marriage.  I am truly blessed to have Jackie and would not be able to run this business without her by my side.  People always ask if it is hard to give up weekends to photograph weddings but I don’t really have to give anything up because Jackie is right there with me and we are both surrounded by hundreds of extremely happy people.  Sounds pretty nice doesn’t it?  I like it at least!

Jackie and I strive every shoot to capture a couples story, our imagery hopefully lets everyone into the couples happiness and joy even if it is only for a day during there wedding.  The more we can be a part of the easier it is for us to tell that story.  With the rehearsal, wedding, and brunch you get the WHOLE story!

This is how a story should be told.
